INTRODUCTION – A TIME FOR FIRE
There are moments in history when silence is no longer an act of prudence —
but an act of betrayal.
We are living in one of those moments.
A moment where empires rot from within.
Where truth is assassinated in broad daylight.
Where entire nations are devoured by organized crime —
not in the shadows, but from the very seats of power.
I did not come here to entertain.
I did not come here to flatter or distract.
This is not a blog.
This is a weapon.
A testimony.
A warning.
A call.
I was born in Venezuela —
a country that became the blueprint of the criminal state.
I survived what many did not.
I fought narco-terrorist networks from the inside.
I was exiled. I was silenced.
And then I began to write.
Dangerous Times is not just a publication.
It is the voice I reclaimed.
It is my open war against the structures of impunity.
It is a place where poetry meets intelligence.
Where geopolitics is not just theory —
but the lived blood of collapsing civilizations.
If you are here,
it is because you feel it too.
Welcome.
WHO I AM — A PATH OF RESISTANCE AND REBIRTH
My name is Johan Obdola.
I was born in Venezuela — a nation that became the testing ground for criminal regimes and hybrid warfare long before the world admitted it.
From the very beginning of the so-called Bolivarian Revolution, I stood on the front lines. Not as a politician. Not as a partisan. But as a man committed to truth, justice, and the defense of human dignity.
I was one of the first to investigate and expose the Cartel de los Soles, at a time when its existence was denied, and its reach underestimated. I paid the price: threats, surveillance, assassination attempts, isolation, betrayal. I lost my home. I lost people I loved. And I lost the right to live freely in my own country.
But I did not lose my voice.
Forced into exile, I came to Canada as a refugee — not broken, but transformed. I rebuilt myself from the ground up. In silence. In study. In relentless observation. And from there, I returned to the battlefield — not with weapons, but with intelligence, strategy, and purpose.
I founded IOSI Global, an independent international intelligence and security initiative that has worked across Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, and the Middle East — connecting government agencies, law enforcement professionals, Indigenous leaders, and civil society actors in the fight against transnational crime, terrorism, and corruption.
Over the years, I have advised governments, trained special units, coordinated with security agencies, engaged with tribal communities, and walked into places most people never hear about — places ruled by cartels, warlords, and silence. At the same time, I’ve sat across tables with presidents, diplomats, military leaders, private sector giants, and survivors of the very systems we’re all trying to resist.
I created PRAEON Advisory to help institutions confront the rising tide of global instability — to see beyond headlines, to act beyond protocol, and to anticipate the threats that traditional systems no longer know how to manage.
I have also launched KIRA, a multilingual, non-profit AI-powered mobile app designed to prevent the radicalization and criminal recruitment of young people. KIRA is not a tech product — it is a shield. A civic resistance tool. A lifeline for youth before they disappear into silence.
But even with all of that —
there was something missing.
I realized I needed a space of full autonomy. A space where I could speak clearly, critically, even controversially — without waiting for institutional approval. A space where truth is not filtered through fear or diplomacy. A space that could carry the fire, the experience, the urgency of these times.
That space is this.
Dangerous Times is not a blog.
It’s not a hobby.
It’s a declaration of principles.
It’s the fusion of decades of field work, intelligence, resistance, personal loss, and spiritual clarity.
It’s a call to think, to wake up, to prepare, to resist.
You will not always agree with what I say here.
But I promise — everything I share will come from lived experience, critical insight, and ethical conviction.
Because I’ve been there.
And I’m still here.
And I’m not done yet.
Now begins the final phase of my fight — not with weapons, but with words.
Not in the shadows, but in the open.
This is where I speak without filters, without permission, and without fear.
Because in these Dangerous Times, silence is surrender.
And I did not survive to stay silent.
WHY THIS CHANNEL?
Because this is not just about content — it is about conscience.
Because we are living through a global unraveling where truth has become an endangered species.
Because the traditional media have surrendered to comfort, to corporate interest, to safe narratives.
Because our institutions — the ones meant to protect us — are either paralyzed, infiltrated, or collapsing from within.
And because I have lived what most people only read about.
I have seen firsthand what happens when a country is handed over to criminals.
I have sat in rooms where lives were decided, operations launched, and truths buried.
I have walked the narrow edge between intelligence and survival.
And I’ve seen the cost of saying what others will not.
This channel exists because the battle for humanity is not coming — it’s already here.
It exists because millions are trapped between silence and surrender, and someone has to break the line.
It exists because I still believe words can awaken, protect, and transform.
Here, I will not write to please.
I will write to reveal.
I will write for those who want to understand what’s truly happening — behind the headlines, behind the diplomacy, behind the systems of control.
And I will do so in two languages, across borders, through analysis, testimony, and fire-born poetry.
If you’re looking for comfort, this is not your place.
If you’re looking for truth — raw, unfiltered, human, and dangerous — then you are exactly where you need to be.
This is not a brand.
This is not a trend.
This is a frontline.
And I am here to report from it.
WHAT YOU WILL FIND HERE
• Strategic and geopolitical intelligence that goes beyond surface narratives — deep dives into the collapse of democratic frameworks, the rise of narco-terrorist regimes, the weaponization of artificial intelligence, and the accelerating institutional vacuum threatening global stability.
• Investigative insights and field-based reporting, grounded in lived experience from the Americas, the Middle East, Europe, and regions where criminal economies and failed governance converge.
• Reflections from the frontlines — not just of war or policy, but of human endurance, diplomatic fracture, and the moral cost of survival in a collapsing world order.
• Raw, poetic, and spiritual writings of resistance — because in a time of systemic breakdown, the soul must be awakened alongside the intellect. The poetry you will find here is not decorative; it is confrontational, luminous, and necessary.
• Exclusive updates and excerpts from my current and upcoming books, including Dangerous Times: The Americas Under the Shadows of Terror, The Silence That Speaks, and Covenant of Light — each a pillar in my personal and professional journey.
• Profiles of ethical counter-initiatives like KIRA, a multilingual, AI-powered tool designed to prevent youth recruitment by gangs, extremists, and criminal networks. A project born from the intersection of security, justice, and human dignity.
This is not a think tank bulletin.
This is not an echo chamber.
This is not a place for performance activism.
This is a space of professional conscience — born in fire, shaped by exile, driven by truth.
And you are invited to walk it with me.
CLOSING
I know what it means to fight without being heard.
To speak and be dismissed.
To walk ahead of collapse — and then survive its fire.
I do not speak only as a Venezuelan, nor only as a Canadian.
I speak as someone who has seen the patterns repeat —
in palaces and prisons, in democracies and dictatorships,
in boardrooms, war zones, and quiet towns where danger hides behind silence.
I have stood with intelligence officers, soldiers, tribal elders, ministers,
and young people who’ve already lost too much.
And through it all, one truth has burned its way into my conscience:
We are not only living in dangerous times —
We are becoming what we tolerate.
If you are still searching for clarity in a world of noise,
If you still believe ethics can walk beside strength,
If you still feel that something essential is slipping away —
and must be named, protected, reclaimed
Then perhaps this place is for you.
Welcome to DANGEROUS TIMES.
Let us begin — before it’s too late.
Johan Obdola
